L’EREN est membre fondatrice du Centre de recherche en épidémiologie et statistique (CRESS) de l'Université de Paris. L'équipe possède une vaste expertise dans la méthodologie de recherche en prévention des maladies chroniques. Elle a été classée « Excellente à exceptionnelle » sur l'ensemble des critères évalués par le Haut conseil de l'évaluation de la recherche et de l'enseignement supérieur (HCERES) lors de sa dernière évaluation (2018).

En mai 2009, l’EREN a lancé l’étude prospective NutriNet-Santé pour étudier les relations entre la nutrition et la santé. Il s’agit de la première cohorte au niveau mondial dans ce domaine de recherche, basée sur internet et à si grande échelle (N > 170 000 en 2021). Le protocole général de l'étude NutriNet-Santé bénéficie d'un avis favorable du Comité de Qualification Institutionnel de l'Inserm (n° IRB0000388 FWA00005831) et de la Cnil (n° 908450 et n° 909216). Chaque volontaire fournit un consentement par voie électronique avant son inclusion à la cohorte. De plus, la cohorte NutriNet-Santé a été enregistrée (n° NCT03335644) sur ClinicalTrials.

EREN is a founding member of the Center for Research in Epidemiology and Statistics (CRESS) at the University of Paris. The team has extensive expertise in research methodology in chronic disease prevention. It was ranked “Excellent-to-outstanding” regarding all criteria assessed by the National High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Education (HCERES) during its most recent evaluation (2018).

In May 2009, EREN launched the NutriNet-Santé prospective study in order to investigate the associations between nutrition et health. Worldwide, this was the first large-scale web-cohort in this research domain (N > 170 000 in 2021). NutriNet-Santé was approved by the Institutional Review Board of the French Institute for Health and Medical Research (INSERM # 00000388FWA00005831) and by the National Commission on Informatics and Liberty (CNIL # 908450 and # 909216). Electronic informed consent has been obtained from each NutriNet-Santé participant. In addition, NutriNet-Santé is registered (# NCT03335644) at Clinical Trials.
